Wacker Chemie AG has announced it will raise prices for its silicone-based products effective April 1, 2026, citing rising costs tied to ongoing disruptions in global supply chains.

According to the company, developments in the Middle East have led to significant volatility in energy and raw materials markets, along with disruptions to international trade routes. As a result, costs for oil, natural gas, raw materials, and logistics have increased substantially, impacting WACKER’s global silicones business.

The company says it is working across its production and logistics network to minimize the impact on customers, but noted that price adjustments are necessary given the scale of cost increases.

Wacker is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of silicone products, offering a portfolio that includes fluids, emulsions, resins, elastomers, sealants, and silanes. These materials are used across a wide range of industries, including automotive, construction, electronics, medical technology, and packaging-related applications.

The company says customers will be notified directly regarding specific pricing changes.
